I just want to express how deeply grateful I am to my dear friend Kristi who not only watched over Poops for an entire week but provided a loving home and fun filled memories that she will retain forever.
Since her trip...Poops has requested for some changes to be made to our own family!
1. Have us pray before each meal (and eat together)
2. Have a chore/good deed made up where she can earn stickers and rewards
3. She wants me to give her a hug each night instead of her giving me a hug (lol)
4. She wants us to all have chores that we rotate on a weekly basis (O likes this one..because this means she has to mow the grass!) haha
5. She wants us to vote on an activity that we do together once a week as a family...
(she says..anything from going out to get ice cream, eating at a restaurant, watching a movie, or going to a movie together)
After much contemplating we have decided we will do numbers 2-5....Just kidding (for you Kristi)..we will incorporate all her ideas/suggestions into our daily life. It appears Kristi has made quite an impression on my little Poops (and positive changes) will be coming our way. :-)
Thanks Kristi!!!!!!
P.S. I will be posting some pics soon

Missing Poops!
Well, we officially miss POOPS so much...but she is having a great time with my dear friend, Kristi (and her large gang of children...How she does it with all those children I DO NOT KNOW!). Poop's told me about going to the zoo and daily swimming in the lake. She actually told me she wants to stay longer but I don't think we can bear it to be without her for another WHOLE week! I am counting down the days until she will be with us again.
Poops, if you read this we LOVE YOU!!! MISS YOU!!! BE GOOD!!!! PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF!
:-)
LOVE ALL OF US!

Back from the Beach! :-)

This year we had a nice house on the bay with a beautiful sunset to watch each night. We had nice neighbors from Long Island who let us play with their two husky's Dakota and Kiley every day. Kiley thought Peeps was a puppy and tried to play with her like one. Poops got really good at boogy boarding on the waves and Peeps tried to jump off the Ferris Wheel. I will post some more pics later....blogger is giving me some trouble.

Sorry...still no pics posted yet...but at least I am writing!
Poops was in VBS all last week and on Sunday we actually had to attend church...she made me...so she could read a bible verse in front of the congretation. She also performed songs and dances (all bibilical of course) while Peeps and I watched. DH had to work and missed all the fun. After church there was a moonbounce and bar-b-q for everyone to enjoy.
So, while we were sitting in church listening to the service we had to pray and as I bowed my head Peeps kept saying.."mommy wake up!" and thought I was playing some sort of game. It then dawned on me that my dear Peeps has never prayed....nor has she ever been in a church! I was horrified at my realization that I hadn't exposed her to God. I felt so bad...soooooooooooooooooooooooooo I am in search for a church where I can feel like we belong. I have no idea what faith to choose or what faith I am. I was raised Weselyn but I honestly don't know that that means. I just know I learned a lot and often did community works to help others...we would get badges for helping others and learned how important it is to help people. I want that for my children...although Poops already has this great big heart and wants to help everyone...it is too soon to tell if Peeps will have that natural giving spirit.
Speaking of Peeps...she went to her old provider today and yes she cried when I dropped her off but I have to say it was a nice sad cry...like I am sad my mommy is leaving me..not a scared for my life cry that was happening before. Then I called to check on her and she was fine..she helped burp and feed the sitter's baby and she actually talked to me on the phone without screaming and crying. YAY!
Well, I will seriously try to post some pics soon!

It's been like...........forever!
My life has been so crazy hectic I haven't posted in so long. Let's see...I have a ton of pictures to post but they are all at home and I am sitting happily here at my new job working for the public schools in my county.
Since I last wrote Peeps started going to a new babysitter and had some major issues with it. She wasn't eating, she would cry all day, she didn't want to wake up in the morning (wanted to stay in bed), and she was having nightmares. She told me the woman pinched her when she wouldn't hush...and she also said the little girl there was pinching her when she didn't help to clean up. Also, when I would call the provider's sister woudl tell me she was okay and doing great. I ended up having my dad take her to her pediatrician to see if her behavior was normal. She said to give it more time and that Peeps is stubborn. Finally (after that) the actual provider told me that Peeps just isn't adjusting. She said she wasn't playing with the other children and that she is miserable all day. I was so mad because they had told me she was doing well. Peeps actually got her first ear infection because she got so sick from being so stressed and not eating! So, poor little Peeps she felt like everything was crumbling beneath her feet and her whole world was turned upside down. I wasn't sure if it was just anxiety from separating from me or if maybe something really was happening at the day care. So, we told the woman this weekend we just can't do this anymore. We took her to her old sitter 2 towns over and she did much better. She freaked out for the separation but calmed down and played with the other children. She is staying with her abuelas and big sister Poops this week so she is doing great there...she doesn't even cry when I leave. She is probably just so relieved that she isn't getting pinched anymore. Next week she will go back to her older babysitter...it means a much bigger commute but it is worth it to know that she will be happier.
On another note...Peeps had a HUGE temper tanturm (first TIME) at my new job's annual company picnic! So, if anyone didn't know me before..they know me now as the mom with the crazy child who threw a tantrum for some "leche". She was pulling her hair, pulling up the grass, throwing herself on the ground, trying to run into the street, and of course..screaming and yelling NO NO NO the whole time. Thanks Peeps!
Poops-made it to All Stars again...did AWESOME! Scored some goals and made quite the impression. I kept hearing parents say.."Who's that girl?...she's awesome!" Seriously-I really did! Then we tied our last game and it came down to penalty shots.. Poops had the first kick and her super foot and anxiety/being nervous didn't go so well together so she missed the entire net! She burst into tears and couldn't stop crying. I wanted to cry for my baby too but I had to try and keep it together. It didn't matter though because only 1 of our girls actually made a goal during the shots and the other team got all their penalty shots in our net. It was a great game and I am hoping to see her make it again in the fall. My lovely husband was the coach and did a GREAT job. He continues to surprise me with his dedication and willinginess to be a great dad. :-)
My neice JayJay has been coming over a lot. She is so funny...she cries when it is time to go home to her mommy and she calls me mommy even though I keep telling her to call me Amber. Well, when I get home I will post some pics...TTFN!

Updates...
Poops at her soccer game

- Poops and Peeps in the tubes at our park.
Lets see...we have been busy with a lot of playdates and park outings with the weather being so nice. I have been having a great time meeting lots of new moms as well.
Poops's allergies got so bad we had to take her to an allergist and they tested her for common allergies....her arm swelled up for 3 allergens in particular..maple trees, oak trees, and cats. Poor Poops! At our soccer game Saturday, O coached and although we lost the girls played great. Well, the girls that showed...we were down quite a few girls and had to pull out a girl from the other team just to be able to play...no subs and Poops played so hard she started wheezing! Asthma!...but allergy and exercise induced...so I think she will be okay..the doc had actually gave us an inhaler for just that issue....was he psychic? :-)

Peeps's allergies/asthma is the same...coughing when she runs.... I took her off the singular because of the new study of recent side effects...her doc said I can choose to just let her cough and if it becomes wheezing I need to give her medication. I am hoping/praying she will outgrow it...The pic is of Peeps at the doc's putting on lipstick.
Peeps is still having a great time with the children I watch but not for much longer as they have their moving date and soon will be off to Alaska. What was funny was that my husband said I was going to cry when they leave and I said oh no I will be fine...and sure enough with her email giving me the actual date I did find myself tearing up. I have really gotten attached to them and will miss them dearly. I am not sure if I will continue to watch children or do something else...I think I will probably watch a couple children part time again. It is good for Peeps to have other children around...and I find it fun.
We went looking at our first potential preschool the other day...Peeps said "NO, I DONT WANT IT!" and she is sure she doesn't want to go to school. :-( I want her to go two days a week for 3 hours a day but she is sure that she doesn't want it. I am still on the fence about it.
Funny things...
Peeps ....she is sooooooooooooo funny....whenever daddy wears a bath robe she says "Daddy's pretty princess!" :-) She thinks dresses make you a princess...(I don't know why) but she loves wearing them and I still have to talk her out of not wearing them each and every day.

:-(

Poops lied to me yesterday..now every time I look at her that is all I can think about. She says it is the first time she lied to me but how can I believe that since she lied already once..how do I know. The worst part is that I had no idea..I was oblivious to it and didn't realize that it would enter her little mind to lie to me so my pride is hurt and it opened my eyes to the fact that she is really getting older...we all lied to our parents before right? But when does it start?
This is how it happened...we were at my in laws house and Poops comes into the room (we were all sitting on my mil's bed watching a program) and shows us her bleeding finger. We all say oh my gosh how did that happen? She replies that she cut it on the chair? I am like, "the chair? Oh my goodness, your grandfather is going to have to repair it, show me where?" My mother in law is like, "I don't think so, you were cutting that kiwi with the knife, you must've cut your finger." I am like what, why were you cutting something with a knife? She said her grandma let her and she says it wasn't the knife. So I am about to argue with my mil telling her that Poops wouldn't lie to me and then she goes to show me where and points to the part that you pull out for the foot rest (which isn't open) and my mil comes into the kitchen and sees the kiwi half cut with the knife still in it. Okay, if it wasn't for my mil insisting that Poops cut her finger with the knife I would've never even thought to second guess what she was saying. Well, I then told her that if she cut it on the chair she will have to go get a tetnaus shot in her belly right away so to tell me the truth. She then admits she cut it with the knife. I am so disappointed..am I making too much of it? No, because I know how I feel and I feel like we've reached a new level of our relationship...a level I wasn't looking foward to. :-( She says she didn't want to feel dumb, and that she's never lied before..but really, how do I know? :-(

Okay, forgot to post this
Since Peeps is potty trained we are going through panties like she goes through popscicles..which is about 5 a day. Hey, at least she stays hydrated. She isn't having accidents at all..which is lovely..but she thinks that every time she farts..she has to change her panties. Plus, she wants to keep changing so she can wear all the princesses and frogs..(the frog panties are actually her favorite). She has a frog plate, frog spoon, frog cup...all things she has picked out and wanted while browing through Target.

The big 3-0!
Ahhh,
I am now officially 30. It is depressing to even think about but I am the youngest mom at my daughter's elementary school and I have accomplished a lot. So, why this feeling of sadness about being 30? Could it be that I am so much closer to 40, or that much closer to death, or because the 20's are behind me? I can't go back, just forward, so I should make the best of it. :-)

Peeps poo poo'd in the potty!
I am soooo proud of Peeps...she went poo poo on the potty like a big girl! I have to contribute this to the little boy I watch. He is so proud when he goes potty he insists we all come to see his poo and won't hear about us not wanting to participate in the on looking of it. So, Peeps has turned this habit into her own wanting everyone to see it and today she was so proud as was I and all the family.
Poops is my big helped with my day care. She helps me at times and the little girl who is smitten with Poops. Poops likes the attention and I am proud of Poops being so mature. She just started division at school..I can't believe how grown up she is now.
The children I watch are great. They have both called me mommy at different times and it is good to know that they are comfortable with me. I feel good about knowing that I am making a positive difference in what I do and being able to stay home with Peeps and be home when Poops gets here is a huge weight lifted off my heart that was once heavy with thoughts that I wasn't there enough for my children. :-)
Until the next post...
P.S. I don't have any recent pics because I can't find my camera charger and haven't been able to use my camera.
Take care!

Started doing daycare
HI,
So I started watching two children ages 3 and 5. They are very sweet and they have even cried when it was time to go home. I honestly don't know why they like being with me so much but their mom is happy that they enjoy being with me. Peeps is happy that she has friends to play with every day and I am happy that everything is working out. Peeps has had to learn to share her toys and she is doing very well in that aspect. Now, in the mornings she looks out the window for her new friends.
The little girl is smitten with Poops. She wants to do everything she is doing.
